Due to continued business success and exciting projects to commence across the UK in 2024, we are looking for an experienced Demolition Site Manager to join our team.
Role Overview
As the Site Manager, your role will involve overseeing all on-site activities for our projects located throughout the UK, with a particular focus on the Midlands area. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that your project is running smoothly, by effectively monitoring and managing resources, keeping the project within the budget and agreed timescales, and prioritising safety above all else.
Role & Responsibilities
- Ensure that all personnel on the site, including any sub-contractors, are monitored and supervised
- Induct all site personnel and brief everybody on the project Risk Assessment and Method Statement
- Ensure all works are carried out to comply with current Health & Safety Legislation and that safety remains the number one priority
- Prior to work commencing on site, ensure that the necessary planning, risk assessment, and control measures are in place.
- Develop and maintain a professional working relationship with the client
- Ensure that the project team, including any subcontractors, is properly trained and competent for the job at hand
- Organise personnel, machinery and fuel
- Complete all statutory and organisational requirements including daily diaries, daily machine and equipment checks via computer and/or tablet
- Deliver a daily 10-minute brief covering the works being done that day and what each person will be doing and the risks to be aware of
- Log all waste, metals and hired equipment on and off-site
- Prepare a weekly report for Cawarden Senior Management with photos
- Undertake formal and informal training and development
- To uphold Cawarden’s company values and professional image.
These are illustrative duties and the post holder will be expected to become involved in a range of work to enable the company to respond effectively to the requirements of the project.

Qualifications & Knowledge
- Qualified to Site Manager Black Card level
- 5+ years of demolition experience working at site management level
- Driving licence or access to good public transport routes across the East Midlands
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
